Theme: The Heart of Every Command
Scripture: Matthew 22:36–40
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Devotional Thought
Everything God calls us to do hangs on love.
Loving God with all our heart shapes the way we live — but loving people the way He loves them reveals that our hearts truly belong to Him.
It’s easy to chase purpose and forget the Person.
It’s easy to serve God publicly but hold back love privately.
But when the fire of revival burns within us, it always leads to love — first upward, then outward.
When kings lead without love, they become harsh.
When priests serve without love, they become hollow.
But when love fuels both authority and service, heaven touches earth.
Loving God and loving people doesn’t make us soft — it makes us strong enough to carry the weight of His Kingdom.
Because when love is the motive, obedience becomes joy, and purpose flows naturally.
Let’s be a church marked by love — love that heals, forgives, restores, and builds bridges.
That’s what makes us different. That’s what makes us His. ❤️
Prayer
Father, thank You for Your love — the kind that never gives up, never runs out, and never fails.
Teach me to love You fully and to love others freely.
Break down walls in my heart where pride, fear, or offence have taken root.
Let Your love flow through me — into my family, my church, and my city.
May New Season Church be known for Your love above all else.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Declaration
❤️ Love is the heartbeat of kings and the fragrance of priests.
I love God with all my heart.
I love people as He has loved me.
Every command, every calling, and every purpose flows from love.
