Day 4: Royal Authority, Servant Heart

Reigning like Jesus

Scripture: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:45 (NIV)

Heaven’s version of greatness looks nothing like the world’s. In God’s Kingdom, authority is never about control — it’s about influence through love. Jesus, the King of kings, knelt to wash feet. The most powerful Man who ever lived wore a towel before He wore a crown.

Every time we choose humility over pride, service over status, we reflect the heart of the King we represent. The more surrendered we are, the more power He entrusts to us. Because God can only fill hands that are empty — and hearts that are yielded.

When you serve others, you’re not losing ground — you’re establishing Kingdom territory.

Reflect:

  1. Where is God inviting me to serve in ways that stretch my comfort or pride?
  2. Do I see serving others as a Kingdom privilege or an obligation?
  3. How can I show Christ’s love in practical ways today — at home, work, or church?

Pray:
“Jesus, teach me to lead like You — with humility, compassion, and courage. Help me see every act of service as worship. Let my authority flow from love, not position.”
